Background: I started programming in the 1980s with a Sinclair ZX-81, proceeded with various Commodore machines and became a hobby Mac developer during the 90s. I'm still maintaining a once-popular shareware password manager called ForgotIt?, which is somewhat outdated from a security perspective because it doesn't securely lock memory. Otherwise it works fine.
Programming languages: All of them. They don't matter, I use whatever tool is appropriate for a project and have programmed in all major and a few esoteric programming languages like PowerMops. Currently, most of my projects are in Go, CommonLisp, and my own retro Lisp dialect. You can find my open source contributions in these Github repositories.
Current projects: I'm bootstraping daigosoft. In Zen Buddhism, “daigo” means “great enlightenment”, “great realization.” The mission is to create retro software that reduces the daily grind of small businesses and creative professionals and brings back the fun to computing. Tools should be enjoyable to use. Our apps are going to work very reliably and solve small everyday problems, yet at the same time they are going to have exceptional hidden depth such as being interconnected and fully scriptable. Besides that, I also plan to turn Z3S5 Lisp into a virtual Lisp Machine from a parallel universe, with some sprite system and sound, and sell it for a few bucks on Steam.
